This is a trick I picked up thanks to my handy dandy iPhone, but it works with any type of camera and computer. Take pictures of anything, just randomly pull out your camera and take a picture, and then edit them to your little hearts desire with photo editing software. I use a bunch of free photography apps on my phone, however Picnik is a great, free photo editing website that allows you to get really creative with different filters/effects.
I think the main reason this works so well for me is because it distracts me for hours on end. When you feel upset or anxious about something, sometimes the best thing you can do for yourself is distract yourself.
